How to Get Free Tickets for Your Favourite TV Shows

You’ll be glad to hear that almost anyone can get tickets to watch their favourite TV shows and for the most part it won’t cost you a penny.

Whether its live comedy, daytime chat shows, dramas, screenings of family favourite comedy programmes or something completely different its possible to get tickets for all of them if you know where to look.

All you need to know is where the shows are being recorded, when and who is organising it

Generally you need to book in advance and the tickets will be sent to your home via the postal service. You can normally get between one and four tickets – some retired people go on their own to daytime shows and befriend other lone attendees when they get there!

Having the tickets in your hands doesn’t necessarily guarantee you entrance to the show though. Typically the studios overbook by 10% so it is important to get there a little bit early and not be at the back of the queue. Many years ago myself and some friends had tickets for the popular Channel4 comedy Father Ted. Unfortunately we didn’t know how things worked in those days and we were in the adjacent pub until 20 minutes to go. This meant we were at the back of the queue and we were turned away (as it was full not because of our inebriation!). No problem, if you miss out one week you normally get preferential tickets for the following week except a couple of days later Dermot Morgan, who played Father Ted, dropped dead. Hopefully this won’t happen to you, if you spend too long in the restaurant and miss entrance to Strictly Come Dancing hopefully Bruce Forsyth will still be alive the following week!
